The bābs
- 1Origination, Creation, Governance verifiedباب ١ — الإبداع والخلق والتدبيرThe book's opening bāb: three ordered attributes of God considered in relation to bringing the world into being. The words "wisdom" and "benefit" sit inside the definition of governance itself. It closes by distinguishing two senses of evil, and listing four modes of governance — withholding, expanding, transmuting, inspiring — of which the last is exemplified by the sending down of scriptures upon the prophets.

What the badges mean
- verified — the bāb has been read in Palanpuri's edition, and the Arabic on the page is quoted directly from it.
- partly verified — the bāb's title and position are confirmed, but the passage itself has not been read.
- unverified — not yet checked against the Arabic.
- Urdu only — written, but not yet translated into English.
“Verified” does not mean the commentary is the book's. Arabic from the book appears on every page in gold-edged blocks; the English exposition, analogies and warnings around them belong to this notebook, and invented illustrations are additionally tagged. Page numbers are deliberately omitted — the aim is to get the concepts right, not to accumulate citations.
